Pin Drop: Collectible Enamel Pins from “Play It Loud”
Play It Loud: Instruments of Rock & Roll, currently on view at The Met Fifth Avenue, has been thrilling audiences this spring with its groundbreaking presentation of the instruments that gave rock and rock its signature sound.
Among the many amped-up items available for purchase, both in the exhibition shop and online, are our collectible enamel pins, including the Electric Guitar Enamel Pin, which is now back in stock. The pin pays tribute to a Les Paul “Sunburst” Electric Guitar, produced in 1959 by the Gibson Guitar Corp.
Collectors and guitar enthusiasts won’t want to miss the Electric Guitar Enamel Pin Set. Produced in a limited edition of 1,870, this set salutes the Museum’s founding in 1870. These pins were made exclusively for the Play It Loud exhibition, which runs through October 1.
Joining the guitar pins in-store and online are the Crowned Skull with Snake Enamel Pin, the I Heart Art Enamel Pin, the Rose Enamel Pin, and the Dragon Enamel Pin. Each of these evokes the vivid imagery associated with rock’s bold, edgy style.
The Play It Loud pins are proud additions to our collectible pins collection, which takes inspiration both from The Met collection and its world-class exhibitions. Pins start at just $10 ($9 for Members). Get them while you can!
